1. Lord Howe Island Group:
The location of the Lord Howe Island is 100km North-East of Sydney. Lord Howe Island is listed as a world heritage site. It is considered to be a great example of island ecosystem developed from submarine volcanic activity; this is because it has a rare diversity of landscapes. It has over 130 species of birds; the sheeting coral reef has over 500 species of fish and 90 different corals. The coral reef is in the perfect condition until now because it is washed by the cleanest ocean on the plant.
The attractiveness of Lord Howe Island is stems from the fact that it is one of the cleanest places on earth, there is no air or sea pollution and you’ll find no filter. Some attractions of LHI is blinky beach, fish viewing and hand fish feeding to experience the diversity of fish and marine life. LHI has volcano, this land form is set to be 7 million years old.
The climate of Lord Howe Island is humid-subtropical, it has an average annual temperature of 19.2’c and the average annual rainfall is 1717mm and is unevenly distributed thought out the year. The island has 241 species of indigenous plants of which 113 of them are found no were else on earth. The vertebrate found is largely dominated by birds, including the LHI woodhen, which has been the centre of highly successful capture-breeding program. There are also specific of sea birds and 1600 terrestrial insects.
2. Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountain is a mountainous region in NSW, Australia. This is found bordering on Sydney’s metropolitan area, with its foothill starting 50kms west of the state capital. The blue mountain form of an extensive mountainous area associated with the Great Dividing Range. The blue mountain however geologically is situated in the central parts of the Sydney basin. It is also listed as word heritage area.
The blue mountain is a dissected plateau coved in sand stone bedrock. The climate generally stands with an average summer maximum temperature of 22 degrees with night time falling dramatically.
The blue mountain has over 400 different types of animals such as the koala and yellow glider. a also hunt for kangaroos .There are several plant communities in the blue mountains these can be divided in to two groups such as the tall open forest and the bottom of the valley being called the open forest.
