The Prince by Niccoló Machiavelli explained many characteristics of leaders. Some of the characteristics that was explained in the book are to get his people support, to be intelligent, and to be feared than loved. Machiavelli explained how prince have to be intelligent in order to rule and help his groups. When leaders are intelligent, they can make a great decision by evaluat for positive and negative impact on their group. In medieval time, it was much safer for a person to be feared than loved because people who fear you are much less likely to revolt. When the group you leads support you with an ideas because without the people supporting your decisions you can make any action. Prince should know how to handle wars and self defense too.
