Ultra Lounge Pioneer
The beat is vibrating off the walls as you enter the admission doors; the crowd is out in force and ready to party. The drinks are flowing across the tables just as fast as the bartenders can make them, conversation is loud and patriots are struggling to hear over the thumping music and the dance floor is filled with sweaty bodies swaying to the beat. To the naked eye this is the makings of success. However the owner of the club knows that it took long hours and deep pockets to get their club to this point. Every club owner knows that in Night Life 101, it takes a lot to get a club off the ground, let alone keep one afloat. In this essay I will explain the difficulty club owners face when starting and maintaining a Night Club. Throughout the world clubs have been part of the nightlife of any city. Music and dance have been intertwined with each other for many years. It is most prevalent in the pop culture and doesn’t seem to be dying down with partygoers anytime soon. Why you may ask, well because dancing and music is a way for some people to detoxify after a long or hard day of work and sometimes it’s a way to escape from their lives. It’s also a known fact that people love to dance and listen to music. So as I see it, as long as there are stressed people, dance lovers and music lovers, the clubs will have room for profit and growth. Even though being a club owner may look like an easy task, club owners around the world will tell you it is not. One who takes on this kind of venture knows that it’s a lot of work that goes into opening a club and maintaining one. It’s a known fact that it will take many hours of hard work, thinking, and building to get a club off its feet. Many club owners will tell you that it takes full days and nights before a club get off the ground. It’s more to it than finding a location and opening the doors. The financial success and stability of a club should be orchestrated from day one. There will be many days when things don’t go as plan and you want to throw in the towel, just know it will take at least six to nine months of development and planning from the beginning stages to the grand opening, so keep focused and approach each hurdle with renewed tenacity. Then you will have to think of the size you want your establishment, which entails seating charts, size of the dance floor, restroom size, bar area size, etc. Next you will need to figure out the layout or the design of the inner area of the club and how much the furniture and décor will cost to achieve the look you are going for. How do you want your seating arranged and then what kind of lighting you want throughout the club. These things will give you the idea of the startup cost, but this is not the only cost you must consider. There is still the cost of employees, security and food to consider. One of the first obstacles to overcome is finding the ideal location for your dwellings. It must be located in a prime district that allows easy access and exiting. It should have adequate
parking spaces. Low traffic, little to no room for expansion and unwillingness for party goers to frequent the neighborhood were your club is located will surely send your business in a downward spiral. You must also consider safety when locating your dwellings, because if the neighborhood is unwelcoming and patrons fear for their life or of even getting robbed, your business will fail due to. Lighting of the club should also be on the agenda also,
