The first recognition was in 1917 when Tesla was awarded the Edison Medal that was the admired electrical prize in the United States. In 1975. Tesla was introduced into the inventor’s Hall of Fame due to his inventions. The following year, Tesla was recognized and awarded yet another coveted award by the Institute of Electrical Engineers that they named ‘The Nikola Tesla Award’ and he was the first recipient of the award (Hickman, 2008). In 1983, the U.S. Postal Service recognized Tesla’s work and honored him with a commemorative stamp. Moreover, his name has been magnanimous with a Global segment of Magnetic Flux density labelled “Tesla”. However, there is one recognition given to Tesla that dwarfs the rest. The Nikola Tesla Statue which is located on Goat Island will forever be the greatest recognition of his work in the sands of time.
