Accountability in a non-profit organization is important. Non-profit organizations need to take responsibility for their actions. Organizations can be held accountable in three ways. These are the rule of law, self-regulation, and transparency. Rule of law was self-explanatory to me. Organizations must comply with the laws on a local, state and federal level. (Worth, 2017) Although, this means that the organization is doing the bare minimum to be able to operate as a non-profit. With self-regulation I was a little confused on with this entailed. While I know what self-regulation means in a general sense, when it comes to non-profit organizations, it means a something a little different. From my understanding, the chapter views it as a tool
