To become a successful nonprofit leader, each individual should understand the five leadership challenges. With the leadership challenges I have learned, I have incorporated it into my leadership styles to become a better leader. As a nonprofit leader, I hope that I can use all of these five leadership challenges in the future and to continue to make a difference each day. I have lay out a vision of what type of leader I want to be in the future and I planned out the steps in order to fulfill that vision. The first leadership challenge is earning the public trust. In this case, the organization needs to build good relationship with the public and present what they will use with the money that they have or will receive from the donors or sponsors. The organization as a whole needs to demonstrate that their ethical behaviors are in good standing and they need to prove the organization will not cause any conflicts and it will focus on their main goals rather than being dishonest to the public. …show more content…
Within an organization, they need to look at their mission statement throughout the years and ask themselves to see if they are aligned with their mission and how can they continue to make a difference. It is important to revise the mission statement once in awhile to make sure they are communicating with the people and telling the public what the organization do and do not do. Not to mention, they need to look at different methods to make sure the organization is going forward such as how can they get more funds, how can they reach to the public, and how can they reach their goals.
