As the youngest member of my family, I often felt overlooked for a significant period of time. Contrary to the common belief that the youngest child is often favored or considered special, this was not the case in my house. My older brother, Noah, being the firstborn, received a large amount of attention and importance from my parents. They were determined to do everything right for him and that he excelled in all aspects of life. However, my sister Noelle, who is the middle child, faced her own set of challenges. This particular aspect of the study caught my attention, as it resonated with my personal experience. Although my father was not present in my early years to an extent, my mother, who was a stay-at-home mom, spent loads of her time with me. I spent a significant amount of time playing outdoors, playing on our playset in our backyard. Engaging in activities on the playset helped me enhance both my gross motor skills and fine motor skills. One of my favorite games was playing house or pretending, where I would often take the roles of either the mother or the dog. This imaginative play not only contributed to the development of my social skills, but also fostered my ability to create vivid mental images, which I enjoyed. In our textbook, on page 121, there is a chart that provides valuable insights into the different stages of development related to fine motor skills and gross motor skills.
