Villages and churches were the center of life. The Civic life included town meetings and gatherings. although the Social life involved churches, none of the churches represented the Church of England. They had been separating from the Church of England. Therefor, this could influence this being used to benefit the war effort in that they will not fight for the king, because the whole reason of colonizing was to get away from him and get him out of their Social/Political lives. Supporting this, the Social/Political lives also included religious reformers and separatists(Separated from the Church of England). On The other hand we have the puritans. as we can see over time, the puritans were more on the Church of England’s side, were as the pilgrims were totally against the church. Pilgrims separated, puritans purified. This can be summed up by saying that in the Social/Political aspects of things, puritans would be the ones supporting the king, not the
