Regulation

1. Functions for the vacuole: stores food like proteins, breaks down or stores certain wastes, and keeps the concentration of dissolved substances.
How it helps the cell maintain homeostasis: Removing unwanted structural debris, isolating materials that might be harmful or a threat to the cell, maintaining an acidic internal pH, containing small molecule, and exporting unwanted substances from the cell.

2. Functions for the nucleus: stores the cell's DNA and coordinates cellular activity and processes.
How it helps the cell maintain homeostasis: The nucleus directs all the activities that maintain or make sure that homeostasis happens. It expresses genes that lead to the proteins that are enzymes. It drives chemical reactions which work to maintain homeostasis chemically.
3. Function for the mitochondria: The main function of the mitochondria is to produce energy.
How it helps the cell maintain homeostasis: It helps the cell to move, it extracts energy from food for the cell, it controls the growth of the cell, and it regulates the temperature of the cell.
4. Function for the cytoplasm: control chemical reactions inside cells.
How it helps the cell maintain homeostasis: By ATP it can help it get food, energy and maintain homeostasis.
5. Functions for the Golgi apparatus: Process and package the macromolecules such as proteins and lipids that are synthesized by the cell.
How it helps the cell maintain homeostasis: By determining what gets moved within the cell and what gets moved out, it helps maintain the balance of homeostasis.
A giraffe is eukaryotic because it has a nucleus, has a cell
