ISP stands for Internet Service Provider. The role of an ISP is to provide internet for businesses and also at home. Almost everyone that has internet connection or also anyone that has some sort of access to a service exchange uses the ISP. To use the ISP there will be hardware and software required for the user to then start using the internet. The hardware that is required is the servers, personal computers, router, modems and hubs. The software which is required are the anti-virus, TCP/IP which needs to be set up, internet browsers etc. ISP only works when there are connections made. Connections are made by using fibre optic cables, copper wires and also satellites which goes through the hubs, modems and servers. This service is normally used by any person that publishes resources on the web. This can be done via email, blogs, websites etc. Web hosting service only works when the user creates an account. The account must contain a good username and a strong password. This will then allow the user that is using the service to share files to other users. The role of a web hosting service is to rent out web server space to other people. Their role is to; provide stable servers for the web file; provide disk storage to store all the different files; provide security so it prevents others from accessing the files; file access for the users to access the files and email accounts to send other people
