I utilized my agency-issued speed measurement device, a Truspeed LTI 20/20 laser (T5015405), to determine the speed of the motorcycle was 80 MPH in a posted 45 MPH zone. While doing so, he turned his head, looked behind him, and knowingly observed Officer Koscinski and me, who were both attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle with our emergency lights and sirens activated.
The driver then continued accelerating north on U.S. 19 at a high rate of speed and then proceeded right (east) on Ridge Road. Officer Koscinski advised that he observed the motorcyclist turn right onto Leo Kidd Avenue.
Officer Koscinski and I observed the driver wearing a black snap-on hoodie, black Addias pants with white stripes on the sides, and black racing gloves. The motorcycle is a distinct light blue color.
Officer Koscinski advised he lost sight of the motorcyclist and he began to circulate the area of Ocean Honda, where Officer Koscinski found a motorcycle matching the same description as the one that had fled.
