The teacher had created a program of songs for the students to complete during the class, and he helped them through each. He would first play a CD of the song, then they would practice the song. He would often stop the students to point out students that were excelling at each measure, or work with students who had the wrong fingering. At one point he had the students clap the beats of a song, and he let each group compete against the other. They really seemed to enjoy this, and worked hard to get every beat correct.
