Reading has been a part of learning since you were little. What do you notice about the structure of the text when you read? Are the words all over the place or is it organized in some way? Authors organize their writing so that it is manageable for the reader and makes the text clear.
Today's lesson objective is: Students will be able to determine how an author structures a text to make it more manageable and efficient to read.
