Clarity - entails the ability to communicate one's message in a comprehensive and intelligible manner, such that the intended meaning of the message is understood completely. Strategies that can be applied to help achieve clear communication are your choice of words, how they are said and also the relation they to each other regarding the topic. Avoid using euphemisms to avoid complex ideas to avoid confusing you audience. Jargon should only be used depending on the audience that you’re addressing for example; if one is making a speech to IT professionals then jargon that is relevant to in the industry can help you get you points across more easily. If you are communicating via text (or images) then the visual properties of the presentation are quite important. Details such as font size and layout will not only affect the appeal of your presentation, but the ability of your audience to comprehend it. When I communicate via e-mail at work to other technicians regarding circuit repair, I use technical jargon to ease communication and attach pictures of labelled wiring and circuit diagrams so that everyone understands. …show more content…
Being concise is about keeping your message short and to the point, without complexity. To do this one has to try to use the minimum amount of words possible to deliver the message. The benefit of being concise is that it insures that your audience doesn't easily lose focus of your key points. When I verbally brief my colleagues on software and hardware changes I keep it as brief but informative as possible, so that little time is wasted and everyone can get to work ASAP, armed with the necessary information to do their job
