When it comes to the overall impression of chapters nine through twelve, I found myself rather engrossed in it. From the begging of chapter nine all the way through I ended up learning several things. For example, “Confirmation Bias- a tendency to search for information that supports our preconceptions and to ignore or distort contradictory evidence” (page 317). I enjoy all the definitions that are given, though it does make it rather challenging to learn all of them. Under “Problem Solving: Strategies and Obstacles” there is a ton of discussion about the brain, along with how the energy changes in certain areas depending on what is going on or what a person is thinking. “In the first experiment, about half the solutions arrived through a sudden aha! Insight. Before the aha! Moment, the problem solvers’ frontal lobes . . . were active. I have gone into deep depressions because something did happen like I thought it would, I put my heart and soul into something and gave up so much for nothing. I have felt alone before, I have tried to fit in, and lately I have been trying to be happier than usual. Hoping if I smile more, and think positive and put others before me, maybe I can make a difference in not just my life but others lives as well. Learning about the different types of personalities has changed the way I think about people, there is more to look for and understand than what meets the eye.
