This would be a great restriction on the lives of those who travel to work or school, or for leisure. People would be forced to ride bicycles or find other modes of transport for long distances, and not everyone that can drive is physically capable of cycling 20km morning and afternoon. For example, would a 78-year-old be able to cycle to the supermarket, hang the six bags of groceries on the back of a bike and ride about twenty kilometers home? Of course not – they would simply have to get somebody else to do the groceries. But with that, comes the struggle of getting the massive amounts of supplies to the stores. If a milk truck, for example, is unable to supply kilolitres of milk to the supermarket, then the only possible solution would be to walk the cows into the supermarket and have a self-serve system. This inability to supply transport goods would spell the death of many industries, as well as the public transport
