Diamantopoulos & Schlegelmich (2000) identify three criteria in which the data type is determined. These include, the data meaning, their source and their time dimension. These 3 criteria have been considered when determining the type of data that will be collected. Additionally, there are four scales of data measurement (Ormrod & Leedy, 2010) These include, nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio data. This study will make use of nominal and ordinal data. The function of statistics in research is two-fold – descriptive statistics provide elementary descriptions about the data itself, whereas inferential statistics allows you to make inferences about large populations by analysing small samples (Leedy & Ormrod 2010:260
Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics will be used to evaluate several relationships.
2.5. Data collection instrument
In this study, an online questionnaire administered will be administered through google forms. This form of data collection is necessary given the size of the sample as well as the geographic distance between potential participants. Google forms Is a free online survey tool that makes it the best choice in being cost-effective. Additionally, online surveys are the most efficient way to gather large amounts of data as well as being incredibly flexible. The orders of questions …show more content…
(Saunders, et al., 2009) It therefore measures the consistency of responses across either all the questions or a sub-group of the questions from your questionnaire. There are a variety of methods for calculating internal consistency, of which one of the most frequently used is Cronbach’s alpha. This test will make use of Cronbach’s alpha. Cronbach’s alpha computes the average of all possible split-half reliabilities for a construct and can vary between 0 and 1 (Zikmund, et al.,
