I have designed and built the rabbit hutch and run to suit the rabbits requirements. Some of the things I looked at when constructing and designing were, the enclosure had to be more spacious , the rabbit needed to be located in a shady area and it had to be mosquito proof. In the process of designing I had not only to think about how to make it suit the rabbits requirements, but also to be practical so it was easy to clean, animal proof and also safe for my mums family day care children.
I started off by looking for a suitable spot to build this rabbit enclosure . Once I had located the ideal place. I then drew up my design taking into consideration the amount of space.

The digging was not easy, the roots from a nearby tree proved hard work hacking through. The trench was to put a sleeper in, which was to help support the rest of the run. The sleeper also acted as a wall so the rabbit couldn't borrow underneath the run and escape. The next step I took was to retrieve a sleeper we had lying around the house. I then cut the sleeper to the right length and laid it in the trench.Then from the same sleeper I cut another two smaller pieces the same length. These two pieces I then placed at either end and screwed them to the longer sleeper lying cross
