Cloud computing technology is becoming popular as it provides an open platform to store and process data over the internet allowing user access from anywhere. While at one point, users may be able to comprehend how cloud is “susceptible to malicious attacks” due to convenient information sharing, this is no longer the case as big data continues to grow. A more secure mechanism is required. “The main aspects of security, confidentiality, integrity … [can] be addressed at the client side, the connection, and the server side[1]”, this proposal will provide a plausible solution for security and privacy preserving at the server side. Discussions will be presented based on previous research.
The importance of security and privacy preserving has long been recognized by the industry, yet the benefits of uniform management on cloud introduce potential problems. One of the concerns on the server side is that cloud is set up through a service provider that also hosts other services and therefore, it is possible for one’s private data to be viewed by another client if the provider does not handle data isolation properly. The access permission specified by the data owner are given to trusted members only, however, limited information about the staffs from the service provider, who have unlimited access to data, can lead to serious insider …show more content…
A solution can be proposed to send data in a privacy-preserving manner by dividing the application into small parts that hosts on different clouds. These parts are divided to an extend in which no information can be reveal until the result from all parts are put together. Sensitive data are still encrypted, and after the results return from all servers, local machine runs a similar algorithm to reassemble all data and get the final result
