2. My CI and other PTAs had daily caseloads of nine patients or more. They spent an estimated 30 – 40 minutes a day per patient. On average, considering they each work 8 hours a day I would estimate that half their time was spent on documentation and the remaining time with their patients. Main differences I found between the documentation styles of Casamba SMART and the one used in PTA 102 lab was the detail of information required, and format to record notes. The documentation note used in PTA 102 lab is in a SOAP format (subjective, objective, assessment, plan); while the Casamba SMART is separated by goals, objective, and planning. The online document system at my clinical site, unlike in PTA 102 lab contains sections that relates to patients goals.
