• Perform daily scans: sometimes viruses can escape system active antivirus software and infect a system, the huge numbers of new threats make it very hard for software to detect all of them immediately, in other cases users intentionally instruct antivirus software to allow virus program to run for different reasons. Therefore, running full system scans on entire hard drive will detect and remove these viruses.
• Disable auto run: many viruses attach themselves on media connected to the system, such as external hard desks, or flash desks, when these are connected to a computer, the viruses live inside them will attack, therefore disabling the auto run will prevent them from coping themselves into the host computer.[2]
