When I arrived on scene at 1200 Hargett St, I spoke to Ms. Engelhard who stated that she has been scammed. Ms. Engelhard stated that she was having trouble with her computer yesterday 12/13/2017 so she asked Mr. Oliver (a technician from Microsoft that has been working on her computer for a year) to help her with her computer. Ms. Engelhard stated that Mr. Oliver helps her with her computer and stated that Mr. Oliver was able to access her computer. Ms. Engelhard stated that she hung up the phone with Mr. Oliver but she was still able to see Mr. Oliver doing things on her computer by remote access. Ms. Engelhard stated that she saw Mr. Oliver doing things with her computer when she received a phone call from Sophia. Ms. Engelhard stated that Ms. Sophia stated to her that…show more content… Oliver called Ms. Engelhard phone from a strange number Ms. Engelhard has not seen yet. I spoke to Mr. Oliver who stated that he was advised by Ms. Engelhard about what has happened. Mr. Oliver stated that he works for Microsoft and he has been helping Ms. Engelhard for about a year. Mr. Oliver also stated that he called to see what Apple has been able to do about the Itunes gift cards that she had bought. I then asked Mr. Oliver if he is able to access Ms. Engelhard computer remotely without having permission. Mr. Oliver stated that he can not access her computer. Mr. Oliver stated that he had to install a software in Ms. Engelhard computer for her to open when he needs to access her computer. Mr. Oliver stated that if Ms. Engelhard does not open that program then he can not access the computer. Mr. Oliver stated that the program Microsoft uses to remote access computers is LiveChat. Mr. Oliver stated to me to tell Ms. Engelhard to call him later so he can access her computer to check through her files to see if there is any malware or files that might let people access her computer remotely without her permission. I then advised Mr. Oliver I will let Ms. Engelhard
