Fourth strength is the virtual private network (VPN) usage for connecting securely to the office network when not in office. This is done by tunneling through the firewalls on each site. This will be useful as the company expands to more location and the staff will be travelling and the needs will increase for connection to office network securely when not in office.
Fifth strength is the personal computer security that includes the location tracking for Laptop, virus protection and VPN access. The location tracking is useful in case the laptop gets stolen or lost. The encrypted hard drive on the laptop gives added protection in case laptop are not recovered or someone tries to access the data. With the expansion to new markets and more staff joining the company, the need for personal computer security increases.

The second weakness is the limited number of IT staff in the company. Currently there are eight IT resources and each of them have their own responsibility. There is no backup to take up the responsibility of the primary if someone leaves the company. This will impact the functioning of the IT department if the existing staff must take over additional responsibility till another one is hired. Company has seen rapid growth in last few years but the IT resources remained the same.
The third weakness is that there is no change management functionality in the company to oversee any changes that are implemented in the system. Lack of this oversight will allow any IT personnel to implement their changes without proper scrutiny which in turn might impact the IT performance or introduce unnecessary
