1)
A) Broadcast domain is a domain in which (pcs, etc) can communicate via broadcasts, these are set up through switches, as routers block broadcasts.
B) Collusion domain: is a domain where info (packets) can collide with one another, as such only one device may communicate at a time.

2) Hubs deal with frames, switches do as well but they also utilize the mac addresses(so they direct what goes to what). Hubs share bandwidth with each available port as it copies each frame to each port (it broadcasts to each port even if its only requested by one). Switches don’t share bandwidth; each port is going to produce whatever it is rated for.
I would choose a switch, it would seem to be cost effective in time. Switches also designate which port is getting what info through mac addressing, making the network faster as each port is getting the full designated bandwidth (not shared like a hub).

Layer 1: Physical Layer: Transmission and reception info (including physical states), Data Encoding
Layer 2: Data Link Layer: Link creation and termination, Frame transmission control (error prevention, this layers main job), access rights.
Layer 3: Network Layer: Subnet Operation, Routing, address mapping, determines MTU
Layer 4: Transport Layer: Ensures error free messaging.
Layer 5: Session Layer: Allows session states (creation/termination)
Layer 6: Presentation Layer: Character translation, data
