Explain your interest in applying and what qualities/experiences you possess that will make you successful in this program. My interest in becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist first began when I shadowed a CRNA who was assisting with a hysterectomy procedure during nursing school. What I observed was a dedicated team of experts led by surgeons and the nurse anesthetists with the common goal of helping one patient have a positive outcome. In recent years I have familiarized myself with the daily duties and responsibilities this career entails, from shadowing CRNAs, speaking with anesthesiologists, and reaching out to recent graduates and current students in CRNA schools. This experience allowed me to manage and build a foundational knowledge in hemodynamics, vasoactive infusions, and advanced therapies and devices. Additionally, my career started post Covid during the nursing shortage. Every nurse was faced with additional responsibilities and increased patient load. For this reason, I am not afraid to ask for help and to give help when needed. I am a team player and try to create a positive work environment for the other nurses and patients. After ten years of intense lessons, I completed Suzuki books 1-7 which is considered advanced. My older two siblings and I started “The Gunnells Strings Trio”. We have performed for over 200 weddings, churches, small venues, orchestras, and corporate events. Having this background with music has allowed me to have great self-discipline and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Traveling throughout the northern part of the State provided me with many opportunities to meet and engage with people of all ages and all walks of life. Performing at a young age in different venues was a new opportunity to learn to adapt and perform well under stress. I graduated from Tupelo High School and completed prerequisite courses at Itawamba Community College. I transferred to Mississippi College (MC) where I obtained
