A leader is someone who can navigate a constantly changing environment with efficient communication and motivation in order for their team to be successful. A nurse leader is not just someone who guides others, it is someone who combines their nursing, business, and leadership skills to achieve the maximum potential of the team (American Nurses Association, 2023). There are many different leaders within nursing, with one of them being a house supervisor. A nursing home supervisor is someone who oversees the nursing staff as well as manages schedules. They work administratively and communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care.
