Orenthal James Simpson or O. J. Simpson (The Juice) was not only a great football player. According to CNN, O. J. was an actor, spokesperson for Hertz Rental Car Company and a sports broadcaster. You may have known him acting in The Naked Gun movies and in Goldie and the Boxer. According to UXL, O. J. had played for the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco Forty- Niners. He was married twice to women with the names of Marguerite Whitley and Nicole Brown Simpson. He was in two trials, but only was guilty from one of the trials. There are many traits that O. J. Simpson has that is similar to a tragic hero. He possesses greatness, because he was a movie star and a great athlete. J. was accused of murdering his ex- wife (Nicole Brown) and her friend Ron Goldman. History.com claimed that there was no evident proof that he had done the murder and he was acquitted in 1995. From UXL Biographies after he was charged, the football player lost endorsements even though he did not commit the crime. This is a tragic fall, because everyone knew him as a great football hall of famer and now nobody wanted to think of his achievements or do any type of advertising since he was charged. Tragic Heroes meet most of their tragic hero trait criteria, however, O. J. Simpson’s misfortune was completely deserved. CNN had stated that O. J. Simpson is in jail for robbery and kidnapping from an incident at a Las Vegas Hotel. Jail was a deserved punishment, because he committed two felonies. Something great came out of the mid 90’s murder case. According to Time Magazine, a big realization of Domestic Abuse Awareness came to play before Nicole’s death and after the trial.
