One of the biggest issues being debated that is going to affect millions of people is the American Healthcare Act that was revealed recently. This act is going to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act put into place by President Obama and will cut Medicaid funding as well as get rid of the laws that fine Americans for not having health insurance. Reducing Medicaid spending will leave people without insurance, but the bigger picture shows it being used as a safety net rather than a crutch and this could help decrease the amount of poverty in America by leading low-income families to better insurance plans and medical services.
