Odysseus As A Hero In Homer's Odyssey

A hero is not defined as a person who wears a cape. A hero could be any person in the world. A hero is someone who helps others or helps people with problems they have. A hero is a person who performs noble acts. Odysseus is a fearless warrior, a person who uses his strength but also the strength in his mind. Odysseus acts heroically in almost every challenge he faces. Firstly, in the book “Odyssey” Odysseus and his crew are running out of their valuable resources, they wind up on a Cyclops island but they did not know at the time until the Cyclops trapped Odysseus and some of his men in a cave. Odysseus and his crew were trapped in the Cyclops cave, but instead of being left in the cave to die, Odysseus thinks. They get the Cyclops very drunk and get a wooden log to sharpen and get it to a fine point to stab the Cyclops's eye. The great Odysseus was clever so no other Cyclops would be suspicious of anything he told him his name was nobody.
