Odysseus and Kyle both demonstrate the ability to be brave. Throughout the epic Odysseus was brave, but one story that he was the most brave was “The Cyclops”. In this passage he wisely tricks and blinds the Cyclops, saving his crew from certain death. Odysseus and his men escaped the Cyclops tricking it after blinding its eye with a large pike. The example of Odysseus being brave shows that his actions were above and beyond what we expect of regular humans because we would never fight a Cyclops and the regular human would probably be to terrified to fight against the horrifying one eyed beast. Additionally, Chris Kyle demonstrated bravery when he risked his life for our freedom. The fact that Kyle risked his life for us indicates he is brave because he suffered many hardships such as post-traumatic stress disorder. He also had to face many terrorists and Taliban leaders on a regular basis. Chris Kyle is unlike any regular human, or soldier because he amassed 160 confirmed kills.
