Odysseus experienced much emotional turmoil which is presented through his experiences while being with Calypso, the sea nymph of Ogyia, for many years. This resulted in him longing to see his family including his son, Telemachus, and his wife, Penelope. The emotions of his desire to be home are displayed on page 66 while he stands alone on the seashore, looking upon the ocean with tears welling up within. The center of gravity is exhibited as the raw emotional weight is highest with Odysseus and his struggles. Moreover, this demonstrates the comparison to most superficial depictions of gender roles.
