What does it mean to get back or get vengeance at someone? In Odysseys, the movie mainly focuses on vengeance and the book also does. It shows vengeance when Odysseus came back to the suitors and kills them all for what they have done. In Odysseus there is vengeance between one of the gods and Odysseus. The points of vengeance all have a purposes and it enfolds throughout the story.

While Odysseus was on his journey, he has encountered many people like Polyphemus and his helper Athena. Cyclopes is a one eyed giant who traps Odysseus and his men in the Island of Polyphemus cave. Polyphemus ate one of Odysseus men slowly and slowly. Later on Odysseus came up with a plan to blind the giant so they can open up the cave and escape. Polyphemus turned out to be Poseidone. Which he is ¨God of the Sea.¨ Poseidon punishes Odysseus and its men by not letting them reach back home to Ithaca, by damaging the sea currents.
