“What hairstyle would look good on me?” The Odyssey, the book whose author is Homer made an amazing book to be read by young readers, just anyone in general. Just like Odysseus, he had to go through challenges and many different obstacles in his journey. As for me, if I would’ve became a hairstylist there would’ve been some complications and stressful times trying to get the perfect look without any mistakes.

When Odysseus and his men arrived at the Cyclops island, they had found the Cyclops cave and wanted to enter and steal. When they stepped foot into the cave, it wasn’t long until Cyclops had came back and killed two of Odysseus’s men. Cyclops had also trapped them so that nobody could escape from inside the cave. Odysseus eventually found out a way to stab Cyclops in the eye. He had made the Cyclops call for help and also curse him out for doing that to him. If I’m a hairstylist, and I know what I’m doing, my customers would love to come back to me more and more since they would love the way I do their hair. Using the correct tools and the correct techniques and with just some practice that’s how you can become good at what you’re doing. The lotus is basically describing how you could be addicted and just keep wanting more and you just can’t get enough of it, that’s why I can relate to this action.

In Circe’s home, Circe tricks Odysseus into staying for longer than he had planned. This is similar to saying, I would need my customer to be patient if they want their hair to come out perfectly flawless. If they wanted me to rush, I would make too many mistakes and my customers hair will come out a bit undone. That’s why taking your time would be the best thing to do, there’s no need to rush things.
