He was ignorant to what was going on but, eventually found out the truth and then blinded himself. This was shocking to me because he was so hype about finding out the truth. Then when the truth came he couldn’t handle it. The pursuit to find the truth proved to be the weakness of Oedipus. If he wasn’t so thirsty to find out the truth then he would not be in the situation he is in. In addition to being shocked I am confused. How did Oedipus go so long without realizing it could have been him. There had to be signs that lead him to think it was him. His problem was he was so busy pointing the finger at other people that he didn’t consider it could be him. Next I was not satisfied with the end of the story since it was very sad. Oedipus should of just owned up to what he did and took the punishment that came. However Oedipus did not he blinded himself and then went exile. Nothing at the end of the story was good for Oedipus and his family. Their family name was ruined Jocasta hanged herself and oedipus did incest.Since the story was sad overall I wish there could've been a happy ending. There was one good thing about the ending of the story Creon became
