Yes, I agree the man did come outside with a gun, but it was to help. The thing I do not understand is if the on duty officer did not see the off duty officer come outside from his home then why shoot. He was not making any sudden threatful moments for him to shoot. The other men had it under control. They told him to get on the ground before shooting and then recognized him, they took the right action. They knew what was going on, but the other officer just wanted to feel important and failed. I feel like after the other men had everything under control, why did they not tell the other officer to back down. Them not doing this made the whole situation spiral out of control. This one simple action could have help an innocent man from not getting shot for no reason. To wrap it up, it was not his job or place to shoot a man he did not recognize so this lead to a lot of chaos. Lastly, How can the man fear for his life when the other man was not even shooting. If a man is walking slowly towards other officers without shooting or aggressive action then there is no threat that is been given. This is obviously racism and just a wack excuse. People will say it is his fault because he came outside with a gun, he was black, and he was walking toward officers. I agree, the man should not have came outside with a gun in the first place. He should have just stepped outside and asked them do they need extra help. But what if he would have been shot by walking outside? Then that would have been a whole other ordeal. Second, even though he was black that does not give the other officer the right to fore his weapon. Like I mentioned before, if other black people came outside, would he have shot them as well? Lastly, even though he was walking towards the officers his gun was not pointed at anyone. He was not running towards them or even making loud noises to come off as a threat to
