I enjoy the nature of my current work but I am drawn to the advertised post due to the European language requirement on the job description. From an early age I have loved foreign languages and been interested in different cultures. I speak French and Italian fluently, which I maintain by way of language exchanges – I meet with a French and an Italian girl regularly. I also learnt basic Spanish for two years in the same way.
In previous administrative jobs I have worked in a translation agency, where I mainly proof read translations, allocated work to various translators, and invoiced clients. I also used Sage 50 to work the company’s accounts and payroll.
My most involved administrative job was as International Sales Coordinator in a local company which manufactured medical equipment. I loved the international element of this position, and my role was 2 part – firstly to deal with any correspondence from the overseas’ agents, especially when the international sales team were away, and secondly to deal with overseas order processing (taking orders, processing them, invoicing them).
