Since 1995 our country has become a country of tyranny. The political cartoon in the article was drawn six years later and yet the artist believes that the war on terrorism, brought along by events such as the Oklahoma City bombing and 9/11, become a matter of tyranny stating that terrorism is a problem in our own homes and neighborhoods. This is due to the fact that the war on terrorism has become less about terrorism and more about security and liberties. The government accesses our private information without our permission. This is abuse of power and an invasion of privacy breaking through the fine line of security and liberty. People in our country wish to foster inclusive societies and have a balance of security and liberty. Still even today this has not been achieved well. Certain groups are still today singled out in every society so their securities and liberties are be invaded more than others. For example, African American males have a higher crime rate than Caucasian males; therefore, African American males are more likely to have their cars searched when getting pulled over than a Caucasian male.
