Oliver Stone is getting very close to catching the terrorists. He has just discovered new information on Aldephia Friedman. In beginning of the story, she was just a witness of the bombing, but upon further inspection is believed to have been there for a reason. Oliver does not know why she was there, but he is working very hard to find out why she was there at the same time as the bomb detonated. The three most important objects I will be discussing are the tree hole, the trailer home, and the camera watching down on the park.

John was a landscaper that worked for the landscaping company that was fixing the dead tree near the white house. John was believed to be a suspect because he was planting the tree the same day the bomb was planted in the ball of the tree. This led Stone to Johns trailer, where the shooting happened. Stone asked John to step out side, but when he did John got shot right through the chest. This created chaos at the scene, and Stone looked into the distance to see if he could spot the shooters. Stone being his altruistic self stood in front of his partner Chapman in case of any more bullets. The trailer signifies how the battle between the terrorists and the FBI changed. The FBI realized there was a mole inside of their organization, which made it harder to catch the terrorists. Stone states: “You weren’t the target” (Baldacci 194). This shows how the terrorists planned to kill Kravitz because they did not want him telling the FBI any information. Kravitz could have held important information on the terrorists, but because the terrorist group is because they killed John the FBI was not able to gain any information. Stone knows now that he cannot trust anyone inside of the FBI
