Texting does not even come close to a real physical encounter. All that is transferred in texting is words, which is only the very base of a conversation. A huge majority of conversation comes from body language and tone of voice, which is not communicated when merely texting. It does not show personality or character and does not adequately portray emotion no matter how many GIFS or emojis one uses.
