This piece looks at two opposing opinions on how teenage sexting should be dealt with. Currently, teenagers can be charged with a child pornography felony for sexting. Laws regarding child pornography are outdated and come from a time when sexting didn’t exist. Some parts of the United States have begun to address sexting in a manner that keeps it separate from child pornography laws. As a society, we have created this weird double standard of how two teens can be naked in a room together, but once one of them takes a photo, it becomes a crime.
