My personal long term goal is to live life sufficiently. This goal is important to me because it reminds me that happiness can be reached with the right motivation and attitude. As a child, my mother taught me that negativity will never help me become successful; she also taught me that through happiness and a positive attitude I will always is reach my goals. Although some situations can have a negative or positive result, I always prefer to focus more on the positive. In my opinion, living in a world where negativity surrounds you it is always best to stay a positive.

I want to become an optometrist because I want to change the way people visually view the world. I personally have to wear glasses and contacts, so I am aware of the disadvantages of poor vision. I want to prevent people from facing the same struggles I have: getting foggy glasses, red itchy eyes from contact lenses, and broken glasses. One reason why I want to become an optometrist is because although I will be a doctor I will still have time for myself and family.
