The Williams family had gone to the Oregon Coast on a family vacation during the 4th of July of summer of 2015. The beach was a place to have fun and spend time with the family. They had to wake up early and leave as soon as possible to get a start and beat most of the traffic that occurs at later times and can add time to the drive. An average journey from Sherwood, Oregon to Seaside, Oregon takes about one hour and forty-five minutes. The coastal mountain range is a large barrier from the metro area to the beach that requires a large elevation change.
