The Nucleolus ( Both Plant and Animal )
The Nucleolus is a structure found inside the nucleus inside an animal cell. It forms around chromosomal areas in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and is made up of proteins and ribonucleic acids. The function of the nucleolus is to create RNA and combine it with proteins to form incomplete ribosomes. The nucleolus takes up about 25% of the volume of the cell nucleus.
The Nucleus ( Both Plant and Animal )
The Nucleus is a membrane-enclosed organelle found in eukaryotic cells. It controls many of the functions of the cell and inside the chromosomes it contains DNA. The nucleus is surrounded by the nuclear membrane.
Nuclear Membrane ( Both Plant and Animal )
The Nuclear Membrane is the membrane that surrounds the nucleus. It acts as the barrier in the cell. The nuclear membrane is semi-permeable and it’s main function is controlling and regulating what goes in and out of the cell.
Cell Wall ( Plant Only )
The cell wall is the outer layer of the cell and is made out of cellulose. It also protects the cell and allows water (H2O) , Oxygen (O2) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to pass in and out of the cell.
Cell Membrane ( Both Plant and Animal )
The cell membrane is the outer layer and is selectively permeable. It provides support and protection for the cell. The cell membrane controls the movement of materials in/out of the cell. It is essentially the barrier between the cell and its environment. The cell membrane maintains homeostasis.
Cytoplasm ( Both Plant and Animal )
The cytoplasm is found inside the cell membrane and is the jelly-like substance in the cell. It supports and protects the cell and the organelles it contains.
Endoplasmic Reticulum ( Both Plant and Animal )
It carries materials throughout the cell. It is a type of organelle in the cells of eukaryotic organisms that forms an interconnected network of flattened, membrane-enclosed sacs or tubes known as cisternae. It occurs in most types of eukaryotic cells.

Ribosome ( Both Plant and Animal )
The ribosomes in both the plant and animal cell, produces protein. Ribosomes link amino acids together in the order specified by messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules. They consist of two major components — the small ribosomal subunit which
