During the Holocaust Oskar Schnieder Moved to Krakow, “Founded before the end of the first millennium, the city of Krakow (Cracow), located today in southern Poland, served as the seat of the Piast Dynasty and eventually as the capital of the Polish Kingdom until the early 17th century” (OSKAR SCHINDLER). He was working while he lived in the ghetto but he only employed a few Jewish people, “Schindler operated two other factories in Kraków, only at Emalia did he employ Jewish workers who resided in the nearby Kraków ghetto” (OSKAR SCHINDLER). He didn't hire Jewish workers in case the Germans went through his factories and searched them, so that only one factory would get shut down if they did.
