Many people would criticize me on the spot if I expressed how I feel about obstacles becoming good. They would tell me about personal experiences that they did not overcome very well. That in fact would be the problem. Just because they couldn’t overcome the problem correctly and efficiently they are scared to make something good of obstacles. For instance, an old friend of mine when I was younger had down syndrome. He would not hesitate to play any sport with us; even though, it seemed a bit difficult for him to keep up with the rest of us. He still made an effort to be happy. He would never sit around and sulk about anything. I figured out that he know about his disability; however, he still had a strive for work and play time. This turned out to be one of his greatest features because as he aged and found out about more people that had down syndrome as well. He wanted to help others like him; therefore, he joined a campaign to help and support people with down syndrome. He strived for greatness despite his great disadvantage. This resulted in him making a name for himself in the group of people he was helping. He worked to put his difficulty aside and it paid off with a great award. His disability which would be a disadvantage for anyone to have did not hold him
