Have you ever wondered where, or even who created the idea of a Circus. What they us to call back in the day, Show of Freaks. The guy that created this was P.T. Barnum and Bailey Circus. A show where everyone could come and see. Also so that they could injoy entertainment. Where you could see people hanging and swinging from rope. Also you could watch animals and other people in the show. This was a show everyone was invited to come and see. Born on July 5, 1810 in Bethel, Connecticut. P.T. In 1841 to 1868, he ran the Barnum American Museum. he launched the traveling spectacle that would eventually become the Ringling Bros.Barnum & Bailey Circus. After an illustrious career, Barnum died in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 7, 1891. His cause of death was caused by a stroke. There show was bought out by the rival ringling brothers in 1907. But eventually they combined the show. Thanks in part to the enduring success of his circus, Barnum is celebrated as a brilliant promoter and a man who transformed the nature of commercial entertainment in the 19th century.
