The Pan American Exposition was a World’s Fair that took place in Buffalo, New York from May 1st through November 2nd. It used 350 acres of land on the western edge of what is now Delaware Park, extending from Delaware Ave. to Elmwood Ave and northward to Great Arrow Ave. The Exposition was also called The Rainbow City. When the visitors entered, they were treated to the astonishing site of marvelous domes, eye-catching minarets, towers and pavilions glowing with pleasing hues and tints, majestic statues, and buildings with interesting exhibits from various parts of the western hemisphere. It stood at the height of 375 feet allowing visitors to obtain views of the grounds of the Exposition, the City of Buffalo, Lake Erie, and the Niagara River. At 75 feet of the building, there is a restaurant from which one may walk to the roof of the gardens above the colonnades. It was designed by architects Green and Wicks of Buffalo who also designed the Machinery and Transportation building in the Exposition. In the northwest corner of the building is the Niagara Falls transformer plant. It transfers power from Niagara Falls to a lower voltage so that it can be used about the ground to power the various lights and other electrical appliances in the Exposition. The design of the Electric Tower is a complicated large manner and is on exhibition throughout the grounds of the
