Riding the bus only involves lesser steps to get to class and getting to places off campus, I can find a ride. A significant number of students, although, want a car and shouldn’t have to think if they should really need one just because of the parking problem on campus. Students who live at the dorms find themselves facing the problem of having to park on the other side of college. Most students have commented that they are surprised with the numerous tickets that are written every day and how it isn’t always clearly defined where they can park their car. They usually criticize on how most parking spaces involve lengthy walks, and how easily the lots fill up. There is not enough parking areas available for faculties, students and as well as visitors. Number of tickets are given out every week for breaking the parking rules. Students always get fed up with the lack of parking open to them. Furthermore, the school gives away more parking permits than they have spots available. Particularly, after 9:30 a.m., most of the parking spaces are filled and after this point of time, finding parking seems always like a nightmare for students. Generally, the parking is very intense and limited that students have to find a spot either on street or very far from the class. In addition, students find it very annoying that parking by the big buildings is illegal since only employees and people with W stickers can park by those areas. Students are enforced to park their car in other areas on campus and some choose to disregard the signs posted for reserved parking. This is bit risky because vehicles parking in violation of university regulations may be towed. For example, freshmen living in the dorms would purchase a specific permit for freshman only. With this permit they are only allowed to park by the Student Recreation and Wellness Center building, and on top levels of a parking structure of any general parking lots.
