Viktoras Vizgirda was born on a village called Dominikoniai, on January 14th, 1904. When the farm they lived on was burned down during the first world war, they had to relocate. I feel it's very easy to understand. The are 3 people walking down a path, the are buildings or maybe houses, a bench, and a what appears to be either a pond or grass. I also think that the title of the work helps explain the picture. “Path in the Foothills” clearly let's you know that they are in fact walking, not standing, down a path. I find the title very simple and easy to understand just like the painting itself.
Although eye catching and bright, this painting does not have a focal point. The whole picture is loud and eye drawing but my eyes are never drawn to just one section of the artwork. I think with his use of the primary color scheme of red, yellow, and blue and how he distributes the color, that he wants you to take in the entire painting and not just one section of it.
There are few contour lines in this painting but they do exist. In the sky, and what appear to be either bushes or trees yout can see thme clearly. Although I cannot make out the items, the lines are very curvy and smooth. Also there is an asymmetrical balance in this artwork. The is no pattern or similarities other than color on either side of the
