Patricia Annette Southhall, popularly known as “Pat” was given birth to and grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia where she attended high school, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer while she was still in high school, after she finished with high school Academy, she relocated to Harrisonburg, Virginia where she gained admission into James Madison University she then obtained a degree in journalism, after the four years program.
1993 Miss Virginal Beauty pageant (Becoming 1st Africa America to win) She was the one to represent Virginal at the Miss USA pageant event the following year.
In the year 1992 she gained employment at Douglas Wilder’s Media Office who was the former Richmond, Virginia’s Mayor, that same year she came in contact with comedy actor Martin Lawrence who was also a worker in Richmond at that time. On January 15th 1995 Patricia got married and gave birth to her first child jasmine Paige Lawrence on January 16th 1996. Through my years of growing up I was able to learn and understand the different between religion and having a personal relationship with God. Today I have a cordial relationship with the Lord and I stand on it. Without faith I would never have find myself where I am today because of course anything you have to get in front of people it is natural to fill nervous. But I know God has reason for bringing back home. So my everyday life has been by faith. When I wake up I always thank God for making me to see another Day of breath and I say Lord I offer myself to you and I but my trust in you. Without faith I cannot tell what I would do with myself, having faith in God has really been an inspiration in my life.
